The best way to understand the benefits of the Alexander Technique is to give it a try. Here are a few ways to get started.
Individual lessons are the most common way to study the Alexander Technique. Since every student has their unique physical patterns and sensibilities private lessons are the ideal way to learn. Students find lessons interesting, enjoyable and relaxing. One session lasts 45 minutes.
Lecture Demonstrations for groups interested in learning about the purpose, background and basic principles of the Alexander Technique are available. Barbara will prepare a presentation to suit your organizations particular interests and needs.
Workshops provide a thorough introduction to the Alexander Technique. These small group classes are taught in a series of six lessons and include one private lesson for each participant. Workshops with an emphasis on a particular application such as dance, public speaking, back care, pregnancy etc., are offered on request.
